Everyone knows that there will be two levels of magnetic field, just like the positive and negative poles. So whether there are two levels of electromagnetic wave magnetic field? Today, the manufacturer of electronic antenna will explain to you what will be brought about by the dual polarization of antenna.
The dual polarized antenna radiates (or receives) two polarized waves that are orthogonal (vertical) to each other in space.
Polarization loss
Vertical polarization wave is received by antenna with vertical polarization characteristics, and horizontal polarization wave is received by antenna with horizontal polarization characteristics. Right-handed circularly polarized waves are received by antennas with right-handed circular polarization characteristics, while left-handed circularly polarized waves are received by antennas with left-handed circular polarization characteristics.
When the polarization direction of the incoming wave is different from that of the receiving antenna, the received signal will become smaller, that is to say, the polarization loss will occur. For example, when receiving vertical polarization or horizontal polarization wave with + 45 degree polarization antenna, or when receiving + 45 degree polarization or - 45 degree polarization wave with vertical polarization antenna, etc., polarization loss will occur. Receiving any linear polarized wave with a circularly polarized antenna.Or, receiving any circularly polarized wave with a linear polarized antenna, and so on, will inevitably lead to polarization loss - only half the energy of the incoming wave can be received.
When the polarization direction of the receiving antenna is completely orthogonal to the polarization direction of the incoming wave, for example, when the horizontal polarized receiving antenna receives the vertical polarized incoming wave, or when the right-rotated circularly polarized receiving antenna receives the left-rotated circularly polarized incoming wave, the antenna can not receive the energy of the incoming wave completely. In this case, the polarization loss is the largest, which is called complete polarization isolation.
Polarization isolation
There is no perfect polarization isolation. The signals fed to one polarized antenna always appear a little bit in another polarized antenna. For example, in the dual-polarized antenna shown in the figure below, the input power of the vertical polarized antenna is 10W, and the output power measured at the output end of the horizontal polarized antenna is 10mW.
The manufacturer of electronic antenna feels that we should never underestimate the magnetic field, because it is not simply a magnetic field. Everyone knows that if the magnetic field is large, it will produce unexpected things.
